Anshal Purohit

EVP, Strategic Development

Her job responsibilities: Initiating influential marketing strategies that are grounded in results to get you noticed.

Her background: Anshal has a double major in psychology and English from NYU, and an MBA with honors from Columbia University. Her proclivity for pharmaceutical promotion began earnestly as a sales rep for Bristol-Myers Squibb, where she was consistently ranked among the top 10% of sales representatives nationwide. Then at Pfizer she developed strategic initiatives to target local health plans for the Customer Marketing group.

Favorite restaurant (any city)?: “Cumana” in Buenos Aires; they had the most delicious drinks and empanadas I’ve ever had (plus it was in BA, which helps)

Favorite vegetable?: Really? I’m a vegetarian; it’s all I eat.

How do you sleep? (eg, side, back, stomach?): All of the above, I take whatever sleep I can get!

If you could meet ANY one person (deceased or living), who would it be? (And why?): Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I would like him to explain how he actually conceptualized the book, and the ending, to 100 Years of Solitude. I really think about this constantly – how could one person actually write that book and end it so perfectly?
